Eric Cracken

Chicago, IL

Eric W. Cracken joined TorHoerman Law in March of 2019, to work alongside his best friend and mentor, Jacob Plattenberger, in our Chicago office. Despite being the youngest member of our team, his unique experience and skill-set has made him a competent and passionate advocate for those injured by the tortious acts of others.

  • JUUL E-Cigarette advertising and injury cases – Products Liability Litigation.  Assists in all JUUL litigation for TorHoerman Law.  The case is pending.
  • Diacetyl injury related cases – Assists in all Diacetyl litigation for TorHoerman Law.  Litigation is currently on-going.  Previous settlements and verdicts have exceeded $5 million to date.
While in law school, Eric was granted a license to practice law under the Supreme Court of Illinois Rule 711.  This afforded him a rare opportunity to get courtroom experience and advocate for those in need.  Additionally, Eric has attended several Trial Advocacy programs; including being 1 of 25 Americans selected to attend The University of Oxford in the United Kingdom to compete in several litigation “skills”.

At TorHoerman Law, Eric focuses in nationwide, complex litigations such as Diacetyl, Juul/E-Cigarettes, various product liability, mass torts, catastrophic injury, and death cases.  Eric specializes in trial advocacy, discovery and client acquisition.

Personal Bio:

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, he is the son of John Cracken, Esq. and Cory Denson; the stepson of Brooke Cracken and Cory Groves; and brother to Marilyn, Preston, Nathan, and Max.

Eric is an obnoxious supporter of the 5x Super Bowl Champions Dallas Cowboys (aka America’s Team), as well as his back-to-back-to-back-to-back BIG XII Champion Oklahoma Sooners (Home of Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray and future Heisman winner / 1st overall pick Jalen Hurts.)  Eric loves the Dallas Stars and has a bitter rivalry with TorHoerman Law’s marketing/law clerk-extraordinaire Jordan Terry, who to no fault of his own, was raised a Blues fan.
