2016 Chrysler went over double solid yellow lines & struck a 2015 Mazda, MSHP says

ST. LOUIS, MO – Two women died, and three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that happened on MO 367, south of Chambers Road, on Friday.

Missouri State Highway Patrol said the collision happened after 11 p.m. Preliminary details reveal that a 21-year-old man was driving a 2016 Chrysler 300 on northbound MO 367 when he went over the double solid yellow lines and into southbound traffic. He struck the driver’s side of a 2015 Mazda 3.

The force of the collision claimed the lives of the Mazda driver, a 22-year-old St. Louis woman, and one Chrysler passenger, a 26-year-old St. Louis woman.

The 26-year-old woman died from her injuries at the scene, while the Mazda driver later succumbed to her injuries at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

The Chrysler driver and the second passenger with him, a 31-year-old St. Louis woman, and two other Mazda passengers, an 18-year-old and a 21-year-old woman (also St. Louis locals), were transported to Barnes-Jewish Hospital as well.

The two surviving Mazda passengers and the second passenger from the Chrysler are being treated for serious injuries. The Chrysler driver is recovering from moderate injuries.

MSHP has not confirmed why the Chrysler driver lost control of his vehicle.
