Graco Pack N Play Lawsuit

Certain baby sleepers are marketed as safe and relaxing products for infants but can also present a dangerous risk factor.

So much so, that manufacturers are now taking them off store shelves to rid themselves of liability of any injuries to children.

Babies can die when they roll from their back onto their stomach or side, which causes their face to press up against the fabric.

Inclined sleepers have been linked to at least 73 infant deaths, and more than 1,000 close calls, and serious injuries.

More than six million inclined sleepers have been recalled within the past two years.

If your child has suffered any injuries due to the use of a Graco Pack ‘n Play you may be entitled to financial compensation.

Graco Pack ‘n Play Injuries & Fatalities

There have been no reported infant injuries or fatalities in these Graco inclined sleepers that have been recalled.

However, out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with new safety regulations, Graco asks consumers to immediately stop the use of the inclined sleeper accessory.

Other Recalled Graco Products

Little Lounger Rocking Seat

On January 29, Graco recalled more than 113,000 Little Lounger Rocking Seats.

They were sold nationwide at Target, Babies R Us, and other stores from 2013 through 2018, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Though no injuries have been reported from this specific product, infant fatalities have been reported with other manufacturers’ inclined sleep products.

Care Station Playard

Graco’s care station playard has not been officially recalled by the manufacturer.

Although, a House of Representatives committee is asking Graco to consider recalling the product, citing dozens of infant deaths that have been tied to inclined sleepers.

Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), chairwoman of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, questioned the “safety and design” of Graco’s care station playard, among other baby sleeper products.

What to Do If Your Child Suffered Injuries from Graco Pack ‘n Play

If you happened to have purchased or were given a Graco Pack ‘n Play inclined sleeper you should exchange the product for a refund.

No injuries or deaths have been reported yet, but Graco’s recalled inclined sleepers are very similar in design and function to other extremely dangerous products.

Additionally, if your child has suffered an injury due to this use of any of the aforementioned recalled products, you may be eligible for compensation through a Graco Pack ‘n Play lawsuit.

Here is what you should do immediately following any injuries suffered from these dangerous products:

Report Injuries

First and foremost, you should report any injuries, including anything from bruises to asphyxia, to the CSPC for documentation.

Make sure to preserve tangible evidence to support your claim in court.

Furthermore, being able to provide proof of an attempt at mitigation of the injuries suffered will strengthen a potential Graco Pack ‘n Play lawsuit.

Contact an experienced baby sleeper injury lawyer to find out what the next step is for you.

Each case has specific variations that affect the complicated legal procedures, so it is best to have a knowledgeable legal professional at your side.

Do I Qualify for a Graco Pack ‘n Play Lawsuit?

It is imperative to talk to a legal professional as soon as possible because the amount of time you have to file a Graco Pack ‘n Play lawsuit depends on your state’s statute of limitations.

If you wait too long, the statute of limitations on your claim can expire and then your claim becomes void.

If you own a Graco Pack ‘n Play inclined sleeper, you may qualify for financial compensation through a lawsuit.

At the very least, you are entitled to a refund of your money so that you can purchase a safer product for your child.

Filing a Graco Pack ‘n Play Lawsuit

It can be overwhelming to those who are already coping with injuries and do not have extensive legal knowledge.

Your baby sleeper injury lawyer will be able to guide you along through the proceedings.

The amount of compensation you are awarded largely depends on the type of damages you suffer and your effort to treat them.
