Failure to yield was factor in crash on Route P near Josephville Road

JOSEPHVILLE, MO – A 17-year-old teenager was sent to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Josephville on Saturday, Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

The crash occurred at 9 p.m. on Route P. The incident unfolded when a 30-year-old woman driving a 2024 Kia Carnival failed to yield and crashed into the side of a 1999 Ford F-150 pickup truck.

The 17-year-old male, from Wentzville, sustained moderate injuries. St. Charles County Ambulance transported him to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis for treatment.

The 30-year-old woman, from O’Fallon, was uninjured.

MSHP confirmed both drivers wore seatbelts and were the sole occupants of their vehicles.

MSHP did not say if they cited the O’Fallon woman.
