Suspect was found and arrested Wednesday

EARTH CITY, MO – As of Wednesday, St. Louis County police found and arrested a man responsible for a hit-and-run crash that killed a motorcycle passenger last month.

According to new details from FirstAlert4, the man was identified as 31-year-old Koran Adams and was charged with leaving the scene of a crash that resulted in death. Adams is on a $250,000 cash-only, no 10% bond.

New information reveals that on Saturday, June 21, Adams was getting gas at the MotoMart Gas Station on the 3200 block of Rider Trail South. He proceeded through the intersection of Rider Trail South and Earth City Expressway, crashed into the motorcycle, and fled the scene.

The motorcycle passenger, 54-year-old Jennifer Eggering, was transported to a hospital, where she died 24 hours later. It’s unclear if the motorcycle operator was injured.

Police were able to track down Adams’ vehicle at the 5500 block of Natural Bridge. They obtained a warrant, seized the car, and found a gas receipt from a White Castle restaurant located at the Motomart Gas Station.

St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons detectives are leading the investigation.
