Victim was Olivia Bumbac, a Parkway Central High School Student

ST. LOUIS, MO – According to an update from FirstAlert4, officials identified the 18-year-old woman who was killed in a fatal rollover crash on I-64 on Sunday.

Parkway Central High School told the source that the woman was Olivia Bumbac, who was from Chesterfield and one of their own students.

Missouri State Highway Patrol said Bumbac was a passenger inside a 2018 Audi S4, driven by a 17-year-old boy, also from Chesterfield. The teenage driver was going too fast for the road conditions, which is what caused his car to slide, overturn, and then crash into a 2019 Jeep Compass.

The 17-year-old boy and Bumbac were both sent to a hospital. There, Bumbac died from her injuries, and the boy is being treated for serious injuries.

On a similar note, another 18-year-old adult was killed in a collision that took place in St. Louis. This crash happened on Friday, Feb. 13, and involved five vehicles. The 18-year-old man was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu on I-70 West when his car went airborne. He collided with a concrete barrier and a 2024 GMC Sierra pickup truck.

The Chevrolet Malibu car caught on fire, and the 18-year-old man died from his injuries at the scene. A short time later, debris from the initial collision struck three other vehicles: a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, a 2015 Hyundai Tucson, and a 2007 Ford Five Hundred.

The 18-year-old man has not been publicly identified.
