CHICAGO, IL – Chicago Police are looking for the driver of a car that struck and killed a pedestrian early Sunday in the West Englewood area, reports abc 7 Chicago.

Just before 2:15 a.m., emergency teams responded to an auto-pedestrian accident at the intersection of South Ashland Avenue and West 66th Street, which is west of Ogden Park.

Police say that a Nissan Maxima was speeding when it hit a woman in the intersection. The victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash. Authorities have not yet released her name to the public.

The driver of the Nissan did not stop to render aid or to speak with authorities.

Officials are looking for a gray Maxima with a broken windshield and damage to the front end.

A full investigation is underway.
