GRAYSLAKE, IL – A Lake Villa motorcyclist died just over a week after he sustained injuries in a solo crash in central Lake County, reports Fox 32 Chicago.

The accident occurred on Thursday, October 9th, just after 7 a.m. along North Drury Lane near the golf course in Grayslake, which is is about 47 miles northwest of Chicago.

Police say that the operator of a Kawasaki 650 sport bike lost control while navigating a curve, struck the curb, and crashed after leaving the roadway.

The motorcyclist, identified as Nathan Levandowski, was taken to a Libertyville hospital with critical injuries. He died in the hospital on Wednesday, October 22nd.

The investigation is ongoing.
