Tor Hoerman is a nationally recognized attorney and the founder of TorHoerman Law.

For more than 30 years, Tor has focused on representing individuals harmed by dangerous drugs, defective medical devices, toxic exposure, and corporate negligence. His work has included leadership roles in major national litigations, significant trial verdicts, and large-scale settlements involving some of the country’s largest pharmaceutical and product manufacturers.

Tor founded TorHoerman Law in 2009 after years of handling complex injury and mass tort litigation. Since then, he has led the firm in cases involving product liability, medical malpractice, environmental exposure, and catastrophic injury. Recent results tied to his firm’s work include a $495 million NEC baby formula verdict against Abbott Laboratories and a $25 million PAM cooking spray verdict against Conagra.

Legal Career

Tor began his legal career in insurance defense at Bullaro, Carton & Stone. He later moved to the plaintiff side and returned to Kravolec, Jambois & Schwartz, where he handled medical malpractice and serious injury litigation.

He later joined Simmons Hanly Conroy (formerly Simmons Cooper) and helped build the firm’s pharmaceutical litigation practice. His work there included litigation involving OxyContin and Purdue Pharma, where he represented large groups of claimants and helped secure a major settlement.

Tor also held leadership roles in major coordinated proceedings involving Actos and Pradaxa. He was involved in settlement negotiations in both litigations, which together produced billions of dollars in recoveries.

Founding TorHoerman Law
