ST. LOUIS, MO – A pickup truck driver was arrested following an injury collision involving a Metro bus that happened on Thursday.
A Ford Ranger pickup truck collided with the bus at the intersection of Fond Drive and Chambers Road, which is near Gibson Elementary School, according to FirstAlert4.
Police said the impact left three children, under the age of 10, with minor injuries. Police confirmed the children were not properly restrained and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
No injuries were reported for the bus driver/occupants, the other pickup truck passenger, and the pickup truck driver.
Police issued a municipal traffic citation to the pickup truck driver and arrested them for misdemeanor second-degree child endangerment. Police will recommend charges to the St. Louis County Prosecutor’s Office in the near future.
