ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO – Authorities were at the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident that disrupted traffic in west St. Louis County on Tuesday morning.
According to First Alert 4, a person was hit by a car on the 15000 block of Manchester Road in Ballwin at about 6:40 a.m. The pedestrian was transported to a hospital, and was later pronounced dead.
The Ballwin Police Department said all westbound lanes of Manchester Road were shut down from New Ballwin Road to Hillsdale Drive while an investigation was being conducted.
Drivers were advised to avoid the area and expect traffic delays in the area.
