ST. LOUIS, MO – An 18-year-old woman from Florissant was injured in a hit-and-run on Interstate 70 on Tuesday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
MSHP said the collision happened before 7:30 p.m. on the eastbound ramp connecting to Cypress Road, which is outside the St. Louis Lambert International Airport.
MSHP said one driver failed to maintain their lane and crashed their vehicle into a 2015 Acura RDX.
The Acura then crashed into the guardrail, injuring its passenger, the Florissant woman.
The unknown driver fled the scene prior to first responders’ arrival.
Pattonville EMS transported the passenger to SSM Health DePaul Hospital – St. Louis for treatment of minor injuries.
The Acura driver, an 18-year-old man from Jefferson City, was uninjured.
