CRYSTAL CITY, MO – Four people were killed, and three were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Crystal City on Saturday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision happened at 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of westbound Missouri 30 and Gravois Road.
MSHP said a 68-year-old man, driving a 2010 GMC Sierra pickup truck, was driving in the left eastbound lane when he veered into a westbound lane and collided head-on with a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe car.
A third vehicle — a 2021 Ram 2500 pickup truck — collided with the left side of the GMC Sierra pickup truck.
The 68-year-old male driver, from Manchester, and his two GMC Sierra passengers, a 40-year-old woman and a 62-year-old woman, from High Ridge, all died from their injuries.
The Hyundai passenger, a 24-year-old man from House Springs, also suffered fatal injuries.
The surviving occupants were the Hyundai driver, a 24-year-old man from Cedar Hill, and the two Ram pickup truck occupants, a 33-year-old male driver and his passenger, a 5-year-old boy, both from Barnhart.
North Jefferson Ambulance District transported the three surviving people to Mercy Hospital St. Louis. The 24-year-old Cedar Hill man was or is being treated for serious injuries, and the 33-year-old man and 5-year-old boy for minor injuries.
MSHP have not specified what caused the 68-year-old man to leave the road. Updates will be added as soon as we learn more.
